Louis D, Dixon
Lou was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. In 1965, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After basic training he was stationed at Fort Meyer in Virginia and attended Vietnamese language school at Berlitz in Washington, DC. After nine months of language training, survival school at Fairchild AFB and radio school at Goodfellow AFB, he was assigned to the 6990th Security squadron at Kadina, Okinawa. Lou was part of an airborne reconnaissance group providing support to Air Force combat aircraft. He did temporary duty at Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam and Korat, Thailand. After two tours in Vietnam, he separated from the Air Force in 1969.
Lou received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from DePaul University. He spent most of his career as a Computer System Engineer and purchased a Medical Data business in 2001. Lou sold his business and retired in 2010. He moved to Tennessee in 2020.
Lou currently serves as the Sergeant/Master-at-Arms for the Club. He has three grown children, two live in Illinois and one in Tennessee.
